do u know that L'Oreal has many other brand under it? apart from obvious L'Oreal Paris and L'Oreal professional, Shu Uemura, Maybelline NY, Biotherm, The Body Shop, Giorgio Armani, Kerastase, Lancome, Ralph Lauren, Redke, Vichy etc are also under L'Oreal.
Anyone who studied abt marketing will know this is segmentation..
hyperlink is on the left @ beauty link.. go take a look at products u like
P.S.: sometime i think these website are freaking irritating coz in the list of choice for countries, usually there is no "Singapore". So i had to go to taiwan website instead.. BOO>>>

Vitamins
Vitamin E
The Body Shop has a series of skin care product which is created based on Vitamin E.. Out of interest i ask my expert in skin care abt the benefits of Vitamin E, but he gave me crap.. But a novice in skin care show me some articles that make me realise that Vitamin E is important. I guess the most impt thing to me is that it is an antioxidant. woo.. so it'll help to tame radical. As so, it was believe (and i believe) that will slow down aging process. Vitamin E helps to protect Vitamin C and Vitamin A..
(so now u know why u get sick even u consume lots of Vitamin C?)
Vitamin C
It helps to form collagen, give structure and maintain some body parts.. Note that u cannot "store" Vitamin C, so there is a need to consume a few times a day. Vegetable 'll lose its Vitamin C once cooked, and both vegetable and fruits 'll lose some Vitamin C when soaked, or probably all when soaked for a long time.

Macdonald Breakfast and Calories
Calories: how much calories do we each need in a day?
it all depends on your gender, age, activity level.
activity level:
light => e.g. indoor sales person, office worker (OL), housewife, or a day when u slack at home
moderate => e.g. teacher, outdoor sale person, nurse, student
heavy => construction worker, labourer, athlete
a general guideline below with reference from a book by Ministry of Health
(since my blog aim at women, so i shall only post about women)
age: 18 - < 30
activity level:
light ~ 2000 cal
moderate ~ 2100 cal
heavy ~ 2350 cal
age: 30 - < 60
activity level:
light ~ 2050
moderate ~ 2150
heavy ~ 2350
age: 60 and above
activity level:
light ~ 1800
moderate ~ 1900
heavy ~ 2100
*hime have a long list of food and their calories but wun be able to list everything here, so for a start, let's find alternative to eating at macdonald.. sth that i notice today~
btw, hime is between 18 - < 30, activity level moderate, so means 2100 cal allowed per day, but since hime is slimming down, hime should restrict to a 1800 cal daily allowance.
Macdonald Breakfast: [if you have no choice or have carvings]
Most of us would probably love "Big Breakfast", "Hotcake with Sausage" or "Sausage McMuffin with Egg".. However, which is the lowest calorie "filling" breakfast in macdonald?
EGG McMUFFIN!!!
Big Breakfast ~ 652 cal
Hotcakes with Sausage ~ 650 cal
Hotcakes ~ 580 cal
Sausage McMuffin with Egg ~ 481 cal
Sausage McMuffin ~ 402 cal
Egg McMuffin ~ 290 cal
*Note that Big Breakfast comes with hashbrown, while hotcake with sausage doesn't.
according to this data, i can conclude that the best that we should eat at macdonald if needed will be Egg McMuffin!! (T_T) [hime just ate big breakfast on saturday!!]
btw: Hashbrown has 130 cal...
so now you know what to choose to eat at mac?

hair makeup~
hime now is crazy abt styling hair!!
how many of you heard abt Lucido-L? yes, Lucido-L, not Ludicol..
a hair makeup which used to have namie amuro as the spokesperson
messy hair used to be a common thing for hime~ many ppl are waiting to see i go out w/o blowing my hair!! ha! i'm going to double prove them wrong with lucido-l hair makeup..
currently i have only try 4 bottles of wax:
SILKY STRAIGHT HAIR WAX
SMOOTH COAT HAIR WAX
MOISTURE HAIR WAX
GLOSSY HAIR WAX
this 4 bottles have generally no holding power, but has a shine effect.. especially good for ppl who wants shiny hair~
my personal review:
i dun really like SMOOTH COAT HAIR WAX, coz it seems to have no much effect on my hair though supposingly having higher "shine power" than SILKY STRAIGHT HAIR WAX. personally i prefer the latter and think that it is a good hair wax for school day, a walk ard the neighbourhood, or when some not-so-important-people are visiting your house. but if you have someone to impress in school, MOISTURE HAIR WAX is a good choice.. it has some fruity smell that lingers on your hair for an hour or so after use.
hime's favourite: GLOSSY HAIR WAX
the pinkish bottle and the content inside make it looks very girlish, but the wax is really good!! no sticky feeling on the hand when use, and also have the shiny, healthy hair look after used!! very natural looking, not really glossy like a glossy lip gloss~
hime's Lucido-L hair makeup (my suggestions)
1) buying
the Lucido-L hair wax is available at Watsons, NTUC, Guardian, department stores, Sasa, Basic Beauty. for the time being, i have only seen the small bottle available at Watsons (coz i can't find it at IMM Guardian, nor NTUC AMK). the small bottle is not only cute but also useful to bring it out (small enough for a normal-sized makeup pouch). BUT, buy the big bottle too!! coz the small bottle(25g) cost $3.90, while the big bottle(80g) cost $8.00. after finishing the contents in the small bottle, use a clean disposable spoon to take out the contents from the big bottle to the small bottle. THEN only use the content in the small bottle. This not only save money, it also helps to prevent the content in the big bottle from contamination before finishing.
2) using
after dry-blowing the hair, take some wax with your finger, spread it thin all over your palms right up to the finger tips, apply onto your hair and style it the way you want. how much wax?
short hair: 10 cent coin
medium length hair: 20 cent coin
long hair: between 20 cent to 50 cent coin (but extreme thick hair should consider 50 cent coin)
*remember to wash your hand clean after usage
3) "touch-up"
touch-up is generally not neccessary when you go out of your house for 5 hours only.
if you work in office, then u may consider touching up after lunch due to the possible-mess-up-hair-by-the-wind during lunch. if you are a student with long hours of lesson, consider a mid-day hair touch-up, or approx 5 hours after application.
hime'll always touch up when she reach school if she took a non-aircon bus that'll mess the hair up..
4) after use
at the end of the day, remember to wash the hair wax off with shampoo. if you use it often in the above way, consider hair serum(by Lucido-L or other brands) before dry-blowing your hair. and hair treatment either at home or salon once a month or 3 months (depending on your spending ability)
remember that hime mention that these few bottles have no holding power? so hime'll try out the ones with holding power after i used up most of these wax at home. then hime will give a new review. for the time being, anyone who used the wax with holding power can give us review ma? via comments
note that for a start, hime got all the different type of wax in small bottle to try out, but after i found my love, i only bought the big bottle of my love. there is no new to own so many hair wax (^@^) anyway, watsons is having 20% sale, applicable for lucido-l products, ending ard this coming friday, so quick grab yours!!
for more details of the Lucido-L products: click here
P.S.: links to all the good website 'll be slowly added on the beauty link at the left hand sided.. view them all as the list increases..
