Smudge-Proof or Water-Proof

Which type of mascara do you prefer?

Originally i love both. Both ways give me very good eye lashes.
However, recently i realise that i'l taking too long a time to remove mascara from my lashes. most ppl can just use the remover, press on eyelid for abt 10 to 15 seconds and ta-da!! all gone.

then i realise the problem with smudge proof cosmetics. Remover for waterproof cosmetics does not work for it. u need warm water. and i really hate that coz the idea of warm water washing my face reminds me of expanding my pores and inviting pimples.

however, i would recommend smudge-proof for oily skin. Coz i realise even oil will not remove the mascara. so in the event that you also have oily eye-lids, then u are in good luck.

Decided that i'll love my water-proof mascara instead.

The Body Shop Deadly Desire Review

Picture with thanks to www.galwayindependent.com

I saw this on body shop on wednesday and decide to take a look.

The Deadly Desire have lovely blushers with pretty good texture and color.
i supported 01 coz it is as pink as you see above, it give a sheer and mature look. i find the shade similar to bobbi brown mauve collection palette and thus decided to buy it. I did not try the lighter shade (peach).

The eye shadow, similar to other body shop products, is rough and abit pigmented.
Despite that the color look nice, i tried and find it difficult to blend.

the lip click reminds me of the stila lip glaze except that it is lip color, not gloss.
it has a smell that i really hate, and i realise only upon purchase.
if you wanna buy lip click, please check the color that you select and the color that the lady give u is the same. somehow the lady make a mistake for mine, and gave me 01 instead of 02 that i choose. but anyway, the color is not bad, and i find it not as drying as stila lip glaze, but still dries my lip out. And i find it difficult to get the color from the tube to the brush(haiz)

Last but not least, don't ask me abt eye liner, i dun use pencil type.

P.S. The Body Shop Members have storewide discount 20% on regular items till end of this week. Deadly Desire Collection is also entitled for discount.

Essential Co-Q10 Mask Sheet

from The Face Shop

Nothing special.

My understanding of this product is that it will make my face more supple.
Nothing like that at all.

In comparison, the Essential Pearl Mask Sheet is so much better. At least it does give my skin some difference. I'll stick with this for the time being.

P.S.: all these mask happen to have a strong smell like perfume etc that i don't really fancy. It sort of disturb my mum whenever i put the mask and she is in my room

Bobbi Brown Brightening Lip Gloss (Peach 3)

Peach 3 is the one on the extreme right.

i always fancy lip gloss, as compared to lip stick.
but apart from Paul & Joe and Anna Sui, i don't own any other lip sticks.
yet i have quite a few of lip gloss (with good and bad).

This lip gloss is a real babe.
it has light shimmer and little gloss,
and it is very comfortable on my lips as i don't feel its existence.
it survived through the whole morning with coffee and water drank,
only die during lunch.

after some touch up, a to-be-kiss lips are born again.

no sticky feeling unlike some lippy, and it does not have any weird scent.

small and compact (as compact to shiseido glosses), it would be pretty good for a small pouch on a evening dinner.

i have bought another color PINK, and will be trying soon (after my coffret d'or lippy).

September Mascara Recommendation

Volum Express Waterproof Mascara

i swear i'm a supporter of Maybelline Mascara!!

It is the cheapest, yet best that you can find!! Most japanese model have at least one in their bags. Lovely!!

This apart from giving volume, it also give length. and it helps in curling too!!

Most loved Maybelline Mascara in Japan(esp Tokyo). (according to magazines)

Get one now at watsons, robinsons, guardian, or sasa.

Facial Cotton

Facial Cotton makes alot of difference in our skin.

I used to not think so. Coz the make purpose of facial cotton will be for removing makeup, applying toner, hydration (let's talk abt skin care only).

I'm quite surprised when i read a few articles that a wrong facial cotton may "scratch your face". The main reason is because the tiny fiber that is in cotton pad. The most impt part will be during removing make up and applying toner coz there is some wiping involve, which means may hurt our skin at the same time.

i haven been looking around in quite a few shops in Singapore to find better facial cotton. however, there are too many and i would have to buy them to try.

so let me do a summary of what i have tried.

1. Watsons facial cotton.

"+": Very Cheap, $4.95 for 3 packs, each packs have more than 150 pieces or abt 200 pieces.
"-": cotton will drop. abit rough if you compare with others.
use: for hydration, cleaning your palettes and mascara curler.

2. Daiso Facial Cotton.

"+": Cheap, $2 for one pack, one pack have 120 - 150 pieces. smooth texture. have rayon on both side.
"-": abit difficult to get (must go daiso), a similiar design @ BHG - kanebo cost $8++ for 60 pieces.
use: removing makeup

3. Kanebo Facial Cotton
"+": very smooth and comfortable.
"-": thick, thus absorbs alot of toner. abit expensive
use: hydration, apply toner.

Laneige Autumn 2008 Collection - Snow magic

Reading from some blogs, i found out abt this super nice design autumn cosmetic.

SNOW MAGIC EYE SHADOW PALETTE - 01

usually i spent my money on japanese cosmetics, or japanese-love cosmetics such as maquillage, anna sui, paul & joe etc

this is probably my 1st time buying a korean cosmetics and i really look fwd to it.

Let talk abt each item. i have tried everything at the counter, but bought only the 01 eye shadow

SNOW MAGIC MULTI-BASE PALETTE

nothing special about this. does not really gives the brightening effect. the texture is not gorgeous either.

SNOW MAGIC BLUSHER & HIGHLIGHTER PALETTE

the lady was telling me that this is one of the RARE ones that has highlight and blusher in one palette. hey excuse me, i have two of such palette then wouldn't it make me super lucky? anyway, the blush color and highlight color is not nice. and to make thing worse, becoz of the four-layer thingy (cove + highlight + blusher + brush) it make the cosmetics super thick.

SNOW MAGIC EYE SHADOW PALETTE

Last but not least, this is the one that i bought. i tried using it on friday morning and to my dissapointment the texture is not that fine, not really easy to blend. as for the colors, i give thumbs up to the brown, but look at the blue ... haiz.. it would be good to be a winter collection, not autumn i guess.

the plus points of SNOW MAGIC

1. The packaging is definitely gorgeous. The four-layer should be avoided, but the three-layers are really lovely. another plus point will be the snow-flake (that's why i say is winter collection ma).
2. The eyeshadow brushes are good. the applicator pick up the blue color very well, and also allow me to blend the color in the faster speed ever. the mini applicator is very fine and gentle, such that i can use to apply to my under lid with no risk in hurting my eyes.
3. the darkest color in the eyeshadow is just as good to be a eyeshadow or a eyeliner. both color (01 - brown, 02-purple) are gorgeous.

Price: SGD $49 (available @ robinson raffles city).
